Bizumela |
Tradiionally Bizu comprises of three days- Phool Bizu, Mul Bizu and Guchyapujchya Bizu. On phool bizu, children of the villages hunt for flowers right from early dawn and make beautiful bouquet to offer to the water god Gangama in order to pray for good health and prosperity. The whole day is spent in anticipation of the following day which literally meant free for all in terms of eating and drinking.
From early morning the young children go out door to door to take the blessing of the elders while carrying with them pots of water to wash off the feet of the elders. From early morning starts all the fun. People go to their relatives houses to taste the fovourite Pajon Tohn (curry prepared for distribution among the expected guests). On the occasion, fun knows no limit. Boozing and roaming is one of the remarkable parts of this festival through out the day.
Lady singer presenting a song to the audience at 2011 Bizu Mela |
As expected, the fun over here ended only yesterday with lots of fun and enjoyments. A lots of enjoyment overflowed here. My younger brother Maha has brought a glimpse of the Mela. I am sure, every one present there must have enjoyed to their fullest.
Bizu 2011 has brought the Chakma people lots of gifts especially from the end of the artistes- singers mostly. New albums are brought out and videos are created. Bands like PCM has been born earlier and brought people the Chakma rock music though lacking maturity yet.
In this blog, I am going to present people with Chakma music downloads. But please remember, my only aim is to bring at home the scintillating Chakma music you ever wanted. However, I would encourage you to buy the original music brought out by the producers so that you help the artistes encouraged and soaring high. Music quality through my downloads links is marginal and only for information and education purpose.
